Hyena are the newest animals to make their home in Jamaa!
Hyenas are very social animals that live in large clans of related families. The dens are the hubs of clan activity where the cubs are raised and individuals meet. These dens tend to be in the middle of the territory on the highest ground available. They will house the entire clan and are connected underground with tunnels.

Hyenas are always communicating with each other and use specific calls and signals, one of them being the infamous laugh. Hyenas use this laughing call to signal a food source and can be heard up to 3 miles away!
